In 2003, “Finding Nemo” was shown in cinemas across the globe, Arnold Schwarzenegger became the Governor of California, New York City was without power for 29 hours – and Sony Ericsson brought the T610 to the market. Its industrial design, the ease of use and sheer number of features (including an integrated camera – one of the first in the world) made the Sony Ericsson T610 a huge success for the still young Joint Venture.
There were 3 colour variations available: Aluminum Haze, Abyss Blue and Volcanic Red – this must also have been the time when Sony Ericsson started to let marketing people define names for colours 
. The surface of the phone was half plastic (with a piano finish) and half aluminium which gave the phone great haptics.
