Sony Mobile launched a new type of docking station at MWC in Barcelona last week. Sony has taken its magnetic charging dock and added a NFC and Bluetooth-enabled speaker to create the Sony BSC10 Bluetooth Speaker with Magnetic Charging Pad. The BSC10 will charge your Xperia device whilst playing audio through its speakers at the same time.
The Xperia device can be paired via NFC and connects to the BSC10 via Bluetooth. This means that the speaker can also be used for making and taking calls i.e. as a speakerphone. There is a dedicated key to make/take calls too. Unlike the magnetic charging dock series, it appears that the BSC10 will work with different Xperia phones and tablets as long as they have magnetic connectors.
