Sony recently launched the SRS-X1 water resistant portable speaker. The Sony SRS-X1 is the successor to the popular SRS- BTV5, which did not have any water resistant qualities. The SRS-X1 has an IPX5/IPX7 rating for water resistance, making it ideal for the kitchen, bathroom or holiday.
The SRS-X1 speaker has an output of 5W, and is equipped with Bluetooth 3.0 and NFC (for easy pairing). In terms of battery life, the SRS-X1 will last for 12 hours and it weighs 185g. The Sony SRS-X1 is currently a Japan exclusive, but we really hope to see it hit western markets soon. Check out some unboxing pictures and a video demo of the speaker in action below.
