Sony has added the Xperia Tablet Z to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), following in the footsteps of the Xperia Z and Xperia S. Sony is encouraging developers to contribute to the project via Github. Here you will find all the instructions needed to compile and build the project. As with the other Xperia devices, all contributions will be managed by Sony Mobile’s Björn Andersson and Johan Redestig.
The inclusion of Sony’s latest tablet to the AOSP should aide developers in creating their own custom ROMs. Sony also confirmed that it expects to add the Xperia ZL to the AOSP in due course. The video below shows an internal build of the development on the project so far.
