New update (23.4.A.1.200) rolling to Xperia Z3 series

A few days back, we reported that build number 23.4.A.1.200 was rolling to the Sony Xperia Z2. However, the same Android 5.1.1 update is also rolling to the Sony Xperia Z3 series including the Xperia Z3, Z3 Dual, Z3 Compact and Z3 Tablet Compact. As with the Xperia Z2, the update has not appeared on XperiFirm, but users are being notified of the update.

For those that update, you will notice that your device will become fully vuulnerbale to the Stagefright exploit. On the flip side, Sony has refreshed one ‘Small Apps’ icon (for the browser) to the new UI used in the Xperia Z5 series. This seems like a strange decision as the Small Apps now shows icons from both the new and old designs, which frankly looks odd.
